PROTECTA FR Coating
Protecta® FR Coating is a spray-grade ablative sealant designed to enhance, seal, and fire-protect mineral fibre boards. Formulated with a durable polymer system, inert fillers, non-halogenated fire retardants, and a preservative to resist microbial attack, it provides long-lasting performance in demanding environments. Applied by spray or brush, it dries to a smooth, flexible white finish that strengthens the surface of mineral fibres, reducing de-lamination and improving stability during installation.
The coating’s ablative properties actively resist flame spread and significantly reduce the permeability of the mineral fibre core. This helps prevent fire penetration, making it an effective solution for improving the fire resistance and integrity of passive fire protection systems.
